BRIEFS: SEMO SOCCER, VOLLEYBALL PLAYERS HONORED BY OVC

A pair of Southeast Missouri State University female athletes have been honored by the Ohio Valley Conference as players of the week in their respective sports.

Emily Johnson is the OVC Defensive Player of the Week in volleyball. The sophomore came off the bench to record 14 blocks in key Southeast victories at Tennessee-Martin and Murray State. For the week, she averaged 2.33 blocks and 1.67 kills per game.

Tami Hebert is the OVC Co-Player of the Week for soccer. The senior goalkeeper recorded 16 saves during Southeast shutout wins over Tennessee-Martin and Middle Tennessee. Hebert has an OVC-leading eight shutouts this season.
