PERRYVILLE -- Notre Dame High guard Zach Miller scored 12 of his game-high 22 points in the first quarter as the Bulldogs rode a quick start to a 58-49 victory over Perryville on Tuesday.

Miller, who had 10 points in the fourth quarter, made 4 of 5 3-point attempts as Notre Dame improved to 9-12, dropping Perryville to 9-13.

"Zach had a really good game," Notre Dame coach Chris Janet said.

Said Perryville coach Dean Lewis: "We just didn't have an answer for Zach Miller. He played a great game."

Notre Dame, which led 21-7 after one quarter, led by only three entering the fourth quarter but outscored the Pirates 19-13 in the final period.

Scott City 77, Bell City 49

SCOTT CITY -- Scott City junior center Ryan Weatherspoon made 11 of 14 attempts from the field and finished with 22 points and 15 rebounds as the Rams topped Bell City for their 13th win in succession.

Five Rams scored in double figures; Ronald Watson had 17 points and eight rebounds, Jon Beck had 15 points and nine assists, Luke Sample had 12 points and Scott Johnston added 10.

Bell City's Jarrod Eftink had 16 points -- all in the second half -- and Gabe Scherer and Glenn Adams had 11 and 10 points, respectively.

Scott City led 29-10 after one quarter and 53-21 at halftime.

In a tilt featuring the teams with the best records in Southeast Missouri, the Rams (22-2) will meet Dexter (20-3) Friday night in Scott City. Dexter beat Doniphan (19-5) 72-58 Tuesday night.

"It's a marquee matchup," Scott City coach Derek McCord said. "Dexter has great perimeter shooting."

Oran 57, Advance 56

ORAN -- With Oran trailing by two, guard Chris Nichols sank a 3-pointer with two seconds remaining to lift the Eagles to a win over Advance, overcoming a game-high 27 points from the Hornets' Garrett Broshuis.

Oran improved to 16-6. Ricky Eftink had 15 points and Jerod Hamm added 10.

Oran led 40-34 entering the fourth quarter.

Delta 61, Chaffee 46

DELTA -- The Bobcats pulled away late, outscoring Chaffee 16-4 in the fourth quarter.

Ryan Livingston scored 18 points for Delta, which improved to 10-12. Josh Altenthal added 12 points and James Gaddis tallied 10.

Matt Stroup netted 15 points for Chaffee and Chase Eskew finished with 12.

Delta led 30-28 at halftime and 45-42 entering the fourth quarter.

Zalma 63, Leopold 52

ZALMA -- Zalma improved to 6-14 with its victory against Leopold.

Zalma's Ben Wallace had a game-high 20 points and Tim Burchett and Gandy Wade each added 13. For Leopold, Ashton James had 15 points and Brian Holzum contributed 11.

Leading 7-5 after one quarter, Zalma (6-14) led 25-15 at halftime and 42-29 entering the fourth quarter.

Kelly 74, East Prairie 34

BENTON -- The Hawks (14-8) had no trouble handling the Eagles as they built an insurmountable 48-14 lead by halftime.

Four Kelly players finished in double figures: Jim Hulshof (17), Jason Glastetter (13), Aaron Johnson (13) and Russ Mothershead (10).

Poplar Bluff 98, Scott Co. Central 78

MORLEY -- Poplar Bluff's Jamie Waddell had 24 points on eight 3-pointers as the Mules outran Scott County Central.

Stan Revelle added 23 points and William Britton had 21. For Central (14-8), Todd Blissett had 23, Jreece Johnson 22, Jon Fort 16 and Vicnent Stevens 11.

Leading 48-38 at halftime, Poplar Bluff outscored Central 50-40 in the second half.

St. Vincent 86, Oak Ridge 52

PERRYVILLE -- St. Vincent improved its mark to 13-6 with its win against Oak Ridge.

St. Vincent's Todd Meyer and Kyle Eggers both had 14 points, Gabe Hotop had 12 and Ryan Prost added 10. For Oak Ridge, Matt Schoen had 19 points and Duran Engler added 10.

St. Vincent held a 21-10 first-quarter lead.
