Lafayette countered with three runs in the bottom of the frame, but Central answered with five runs in the fourth, four coming on McIntosh's blast.

Junior Richard Harrison made his first pitching appearance for the Tigers and went the distance in the five-inning game. Harrison allowed seven hits, walked six and struck out six.

"I'm proud of Richard," said Cape Central coach Steve Williams. "That was his first time pitching for us and he did a good job. He walked a few more than you like, but he hung in there."

Central returns to action Monday when it faces Notre Dame in a 4 p.m. game at Capaha Park.
