Chaffee High senior Jamie Duncan has been a big hit this season because opposing hitters can't make a hit.

On Wednesday, Duncan fired her second straight no-hitter in a 1-0 victory over Delta.

Duncan, who no-hit Charleston last Thursday, fanned 12 Lady Bobcats and walked four.

"She was very sharp today and the defense made some great plays behind her," said Chaffee coach Mark Devenport.

Both Duncan and Chaffee improved to 3-0. The no-hitter was the third of Duncan's high school career. She notched her first no-hitter as a freshman.

Devenport said Duncan is basically the same pitcher she has always been.

"She came real close each of the last two years but there always was a little blooper or somebody would barely beat out a slow roller," said Devenport. "The last two games all those plays have been going her way."

The game's only run scored in the top of the sixth on a two-out double by Emily Siebert.

Amy Burnett had two of Chaffee's six hits.
