Middle Tennessee's doubleheader loss to Morehead State Saturday wrapped up a fifth consecutive Ohio Valley Conference regular-season championship for Southeast Missouri State University's softball team.

The Otahkians are 16-2 while Middle Tennessee now has five losses, meaning the Lady Raiders are mathematically eliminated from contention for even a share of the championship.

Southeast closes out regular-season OVC play Tuesday at Tennessee-Martin. The Otahkians will then finish the overall regular season Thursday when they take on Southwest Missouri State in St. Louis.

The Otahkians will carry the No. 1 seed into the OVC Tournament that will be played Saturday through Monday in Martin, Tenn.
