Nathan Owen, who recently announced his attentions to transfer from the Southeast Missouri State University basketball program, has signed with Truman State University.

Owen, a 6-foot-2 sophomore guard from Cape Girardeau Central High School, will be eligible to play next season for the Bulldogs. He will have two seasons of eligibility remaining at the Kirksville school.

Owen will be joining a program that reached the NCAA Division II Final Four last season.

"We recruited Nathan out of high school, so even though he's a transfer, we know him pretty well, which is important to us," said Truman coach Jack Schrader. "We are very fortunate that he remembered us after deciding to transfer, and even more fortunate he chose to come here. He is a very impressive individual both on and off the floor."
