STE. GENEVIEVE -- Oran completed a scoreless opening week in the field Friday, improving to 3-0 with an 11-0, five-inning victory over Valle in boys baseball action.

The victory also avenged last year's loss to Valle for the district title. The Eagles pounded 14 hits and scored in every inning.

Dustin Dannemueller went 2-for-4 with a home run and also pitched the first three innings, striking out eight. Justin McAlister hurled the final two innings, striking out four, and also had two hits. Jeremy Pobst, Justin Wierman and Adam Friga all added two hits.

PERRYVILLE -- Six different Lady Pirates scored Friday in a Jefferson County Conference game shortend ten minutes by the mercy rule.

April Watts led Perryville (2-1, 1-0 JeffCo) with three goals, followed by two each from Sara Hadler and freshmen Brooke Winkler and Stacey Baer. Amanda Schumer and Tae Matsufaka scored the other Perryville goals.
