Cape Girardeau will be one of seven cities in the state visited by University of Missouri head football coach Larry Smith as part of the MU Tiger Caravan this spring.

Smith will be joined by MU athletic director Joe Castiglione and chancellor Richard Wallace, along with representatives from Intercollegiate Athletics, the Office of Admissions and the Alumni Association.

The visit to Cape on June 4 will wrap-up the caravan's schedule which begins April 28 in Kennett. Exact times and locations for each visit will be released closer to the date of the event.

Members of the MU delegation will speak at an evening reception hosted by Mike Kelly, broadcast voice of the Tigers. Wallace will report on the state of the university and its future. Castiglione will present MU's championship vision for intercollegiate athletics. Smith will discuss the highlights from last year's football season and his goals for this year's team.

During the evening event, booths will provide information on admission to MU, football season tickets and the Tiger Scholarship Fund. Videos of recent academic and athletic highlights will be also be shown and Mizzou door prizes awarded.

Mizzou merchandise and souvenirs will also be available for purchase.
