AREA BRIEFS: KIDS HUNTING DAY SATURDAY

The Bootheel Boss Gobblers, a local chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation, will be holding a hunter's instruction day for youngsters Saturday.

For boys and girls ages 17 and under, the event will begin at 1 p.m. at Cape County Park North, Shelter No. 10.

The clinic will teach youngsters various aspects of safe hunting, including ethics in the woods, various hunting situations, firearms training, etc.
