POPLAR BLUFF -- Cape Girardeau Central High's softball team improved its record to 6-3 Wednesday by rolli ng past host Poplar Bluff 9-2.

Kathy Michel pitched a three-hitter, with six strikeouts and three walks.

The Lady Tigers' seven-hit attack was paced by Jennifer Daume, who went 2-for-3 with a home run.

Central's JV romped 10-0 as Ashley Foutch homered and Cassie Gross got the win.

The Lady Tigers play at Notre Dame today.

Perryville 15, St. Vincent 0

PERRYVILLE -- Perryville needed just three innings to bomb its city rival Wednesday.

Carrie Preston allowed two hits and fanned three.

Perryville (4-1) had only five hits, two from Amanda Schumer. Stacy Baer drove in three runs.

St. Vincent fell to 0-5.
