JACKSON -- Jackson pitcher Beth Becker struck out 13 Monday as the Lady Indians dealt Twin Rivers its first loss this season in six games, winning 6-0.

Becker limited the Lady Royals to two hits.

Jackson (11-3) had five hits, led by Emily Sander and Heidi Jansen. Each went 2-for-3 with two RBIs.

Notre Dame 12, Sikeston 0

Holly Schnurbusch limited Sikeston to four hits Monday as Notre Dame improved to 6-6. In five innings, the freshman struck out seven.

Notre Dame totaled nine hits. Suzanne Schwartz went 2-for-3 with a triple and two RBIs and Randi Senciboy was 2-for-3 with a triple and one RBI.

A six-run fourth inning opened the game for the Lady Bulldogs.

Seckman Tournament

During Saturday's Seckman Tournament, Perryville went 2-2, beating Fox 12-9 and Mehlville 5-4 and losing to Lindbergh 8-2 and eventual champion Seckman 7-6 in eight innings.

Andrea Regelsperger went 7-for-13 with a home run and six RBIs. Julie Preston was 6-for-15 while Amanda Schumer went 5-for-13. Pitcher Carrie Preston picked up both wins.

Girls tennis

Cape Central 9, Kennett 0

Cape Central moved to 3-0 in dual meets with its sweep of visiting Kennett Monday.

Central's JV team won 18-0.

Notre Dame improved to 6-4-1 with its victory over Scott City Monday.

"We got to play a lot of younger kids," said Notre Dame coach Janet Buchheit.

Notre Dame's JV team won 15-0, 15-2.

Bell City 15-8-15, Woodland 7-15-10

BELL CITY -- Courtney Brockmeyer led Bell City with 11 kills and 15 digs as the Lady Cubs defeated Woodland in three sets.

Jessica Shelby added nine kills while Tara Phillips dished out 11 assists. Brooke Stephens had three aces. Bell City improved to 6-4.
