This season: In two games -- a loss to Columbia-Hickman and a win over New Madrid County Central -- McGinty has completed 41 of 64 passes for 556 yards and five touchdowns. He has thrown only one interception. Chris Allen has been on the receiving end of 21 of his completions.

Week report: McGinty completed 16 of 23 passes for 253 yards and three touchdowns (no interceptions) in a 35-20 win over New Madrid County Central. McGinty had a huge second half, completing all nine of his pass attempts for 174 yards, including touchdown tosses to Matt Welker, Allen and Jason Roddy.

Coaches' comments: "He studies film, he worked all summer with all of our receivers, and he makes very few mental errors. The kids respect how hard he works. I've always been a run-oriented coach. But he gives us more options as an offense."
