This season: In three games, a 21-0 win over Farmington, a 27-7 loss to Ste. Genevieve and an 18-14 win over Jackson, Jenkins has rushed for 241 yards on 42 carries and has scored three touchdowns. He also starts at cornerback, where he has registered six knockdowns and 14 tackles on the season.

Week report: Jenkins rushed for 146 yards on 25 carries and scored two touchdowns in Perryville's 18-14 victory at Jackson on Friday. The 5-foot-8, 165-pound senior put the Pirates on top 6-0 with a 20-yard touchdown in the first quarter, and increased the lead to 12-0 with an eight-yard scoring run on the first play of the second quarter. He also rushed for 35 yards on the Pirates' final scoring drive, which resulted in a field goal with 9:46 left in the game.

Coach's comments: "He has a great attitude. He hates to lose, and he works hard all the time. He worked in the weight room to get himself ready for this season, and Friday night, I think he ran as hard as he has all season."
