Trailing 1-0 after four innings, defending Class 2A state softball champion Kelly High scored six runs in the fifth and two in the sixth and beat host Notre Dame 8-1 Monday.

Kelly touched Notre Dame pitcher Holly Schnurbusch for 11 hits, with two apiece from Bridgett Riley, Megan Beggs, Ashley Beggs and Marissa Essner.

Britney Lambert earned the win. She permitted three hits, struck out seven and walked one.

Notre Dame dropped to 8-9.

Seckman 1, Cape Central 0

An unearned run in the fourth inning pushed Seckman of Arnold past host Cape Central Monday. The Lady Tigers are now 18-5.

Kathy Michel was the tough-luck losing pitcher. She allowed seven hits.

Amber Voerg had two of Central's five hits.

Central's JV lost 17-11 despite two home runs by Ashley Foutch.

St. Vincent 7, Festus 3

FESTUS -- St. Vincent's Missy Thomas, Amanda Brown and Monica Weith each had two hits in the Squaws' road win Monday.

Thomas also earned the win. St. Vincent, which scored three runs in both the fourth and fifth innings and added one in the sixth, is now 4-11.

VOLLEYBALL

Bell City 15-15, Cape Central 0-4

Cape Central's Jessica Balogh had three kills in the Lady Tigers' loss to visiting Bell City Monday.

Central is now 1-8-2.

Notre Dame 15-2-15, Woodland 11-15-12

Notre Dame improved to 11-6-2 with its home victory Monday.

Kelly Canfield had 11 kills and Erin Vickery contributed eight for the Lady Bulldogs.

Woodland's Rebecca Fox had nine digs, Amanda Bollinger had 10 digs, Toni Cowell delivered eight assists and Sarah Booth and Julia Cutsinger each added four kills.

Notre Dame's JV squad won 15-3, 15-8.

Jackson 15-15, Farmington 5-6

FARMINGTON -- Jackson continued its stellar season with an easy win over host Farmington Monday. The Lady Indians are now 14-1-2.

Jackson's Chrissi Glastetter had eight kills, three aces and two blocks, Heather Brown delivered 17 assists and Andrea Koepper totaled six kills, six blocks and 16 digs.

Also for the Lady Indians, Kara Thoma had 10 digs, Diane Mirley had four assists, Sara Johnson tallied five kills and 10 digs and Sara Nothdurft added five kills.

Jackson's JV team lost 16-18, 11-15 and the freshman also lost, 12-15, 3-15.

Fredericktown 15-15, Perryville 11-13

PERRYVILLE -- Perryville dropped to 8-8-2 with its straight-game loss at home Monday.

Perryville's Nicole Blechle had three kills and five assists, Shannon Dreyer tallied six assists and Jennifer Triller added five kills.

Fredericktown's JV team won 15-8, 15-12.

Oak Ridge 15-15, Charleston 11-9

OAK RIDGE -- Oak Ridge picked up its first victory of the season by triumphing at home Monday.

Kim Cowan had six service points for Oak Ridge, now 1-11. Kristie Reid added nine assists
