This season: Yount, a 5-foot-7 senior hitter, is the top hitter for Meadow Heights, which has rolled up a record of 19-6. Yount is serving 90 percent for the season, with 70 blocks and 200 kills and 294 digs. Her serve receive is 96 percent. Next year, she will play at Mineral Area College.

Week report: The Panthers defeated Cape Girardeau, then won the Meadow Heights Tournament with victories over Oak Ridge, Notre Dame and St. Vincent. Against Oak Ridge, Yount had four blocks, three kills and eight digs. Against Notre Dame, she contributed 12 kills in 23 attempts, four blocks and 13 digs, and vs. St. Vincent, she had 10 kills in 20 attempts, eight blocks and 12 digs. Yount had a 1.00 serve percentage in the three games.

Coach's comments: "She's been playing very well. She's a very aggressive and competitive player. When her hitting is on, she's really tough."
