PERRYVILLE -- Suzanne Schwartz deposited an offensive rebound with one second left to lift Notre Dame to a 59-58 victory over Farmington Wednesday night in the Perryville Tournament.

Notre Dame and Farmington both finished the season-opening tournament with 2-1 records.

Notre Dame, which once trailed by as many as 12 points, was down by three points with less than a minute to go. The Lady Bulldogs trimmed the deficit to 58-57 with a basket and regained possession when Farmington committed a turnover. Notre Dame misfired on its shot, but Schwartz, who finished with four points, grabbed the weak-side rebound and deposited the winner.

Jill Huber, who finished with a game-high 22 points, was the only Notre Dame player to score in double figures.

Notre Dame led 12-8 after one quarter, but saw Farmington push ahead 32-29 by intermission. The Lady Knights took a 46-39 lead into the fourth quarter.

"We don't have lot of individual talent, but kids worked hard and never gave up," said Notre Dame coach Jerry Grim.

Notre Dame returns to action Monday at New Madrid.
