The Southeast Missouri State University men's basketball team picked up its second recruit of the spring signing period Wednesday when Brian Bunche of West Plains Community College signed to play for the Indians.

Bunche, a 6-foot-8, 240-pound junior, averaged 10 points and seven rebounds in his final season at West Plains. He shot 53 percent from the floor and 62 percent from the line as West Plains finished 25-8.

"Brian is a big, strong player who can play the four (power forward) or five (center) position," said Southeast head coach Gary Garner. "He is an excellent rebounder and defensive player. He's also a good jump shooter from 15-feet and is an extremely hard worker."

Bunche, who played on an Arkansas state championship team at Little Rock Central High, joins JUCO recruit Mike Branson as the only players to ink with Southeast since the signing period began April 8.

Garner is expecting to add another recruit to the mix today.
