Southeast Missouri State University softball coach Lana Richmond has completed her 1999 Otahkian squad with the signing of three recruits.

Recently signing with the Otahkians were Emmy Kisaka, Courtney Ekland and Angela Hess. All are 1998 high school graduates who will be freshmen this year.

Kisaka, an infielder from Atascadero, Calif., was named all-league and all-county in high school. She is playing this summer for the Orange County Batbusters, which is rated as the nation's top summer team.

Ekland, an outfielder from Lee's Summit North High School in Kansas City, was named all-conference, all-area and all-metro.

Hess, a utility player from Sparta, Ill., was an all-conference and all-state performer in high school. She has been awarded a Governor's Scholarship to attend Southeast.

"I'm very impressed with all three players," said Richmond. "I look for them to come in and make good contributions to our team."
