ST. LOUIS -- Janelle Quigley outraced her nearest competitor by more than 21 seconds as Southeast Missouri State University's women's cross country team won the 25-team All Missouri/Border State Championship Saturday at Forest Park Golf Course.

Southeast totaled 73 points; Southern Illinois was second with 98.

Quigley, a senior, won the race in 16:57, bettering the 17:18.1 of Missouri Southern's Sonia Eudy.

Also for the Otahkians, Tammy Wenkel placed sixth in 17:46.3, Leslie McNamara 15th in 18:09.8, Amy Arteme 22nd in 18:29.1 and Celeste Ramsey 29th in 18:37.9.

Southeast will host the SEMO Invitational on Saturday.
