A host of players from Cape Girardeau Central, Jackson, Perryville, Charleston and Fredericktown are included on the Class 3A and 4A all-district basketball teams that were released today.

Making the 4A squad from Cape Central are Nathan Owen, LaVelle Lewis and Laurence Jackson on the boys side and Nichole Thiele and Laura Lukens for the girls.

On the 4A team from Jackson are Justin Keen and Jeff Walter, along with Michele Millham, Christa Millham and Shannon Perry off the state runnerup girls squad.

Cape Central's Brett Reutzel and Jackson's Ron Cook were named the 4A boys and girls coaches of the year.

In 3A, Perryville's Scott Kassel and Bruce Weinkein and Charleston's Rashad Oliver and Larico Coleman are on the boys team while Perryville's Dena Schumer, Charleston's Talisha Haynes and Fredericktown's Lindsey Merrill and Kristen Tripp made the girls squad.

Perryville and Fredericktown also took the 3A coaching honors, Perryville's Rick Francis on the boys side and Fredericktown's Lonny Sheldon for the girls.
