Jackson's girls concluded their regular season Thursday night with a 15-5, 15-1 victory over Scott City.

The Lady Indians will take an 18-7-4 record into next week's Class 4A, District 1 action in Sikeston.

Against Scott City, Andrea Koepper finished with a team-high seven kills while Becky King turned in six. Bridget Tracy led the defense with five digs.

Jackson's JV also won, 15-2, 15-5, to finish the season at 16-5-3.

Jackson was awarded the No. 2 seed in district play and will play No. 3 seed Poplar Bluff Thursday at 6:15 p.m.

Meadow Heights 15-15

St. Vincent 4-8

PERRYVILLE -- St. Vincent dropped its eighth game in a row with a home loss to Meadow Heights on Thursday.

The Squaws dropped to 6-14-3 and play next in the Class 2A, District 1 Tournament at Notre Dame Tuesday.

For the Squaws, Debbie Welker had five points and 13 assists. Jessica Lakenan added five kills and according to St. Vincent coach Stacie Bauwens Fara Galati "was a machine at the net" with eight blocks and three kills.

JV SOCCER

Bulldogs place third

Chris Dirnberger scored two goals as Notre Dame defeated Cape Central 3-1 in the third-place game of the Cape Central JV Tournament.

Travis Seib added a goal for Notre Dame, which went 2-1 in the tournament and improved to 10-4-3 overall.

Matt Kennard accounted for Cape Central's goal.

Cape Central Jr. High Tournament

Poplar Bluff captured the tourney championship Thursday with a 43-27 victory over Jackson.

Cape Central (2-2) captured third place with a 29-17 win over Sikeston. Trisha Klipfel scored 19 points for the Lady Tigers.
