RENO, Nev. -- The Southeast Missouri State University women's basketball team dropped a consolation contest, 67-50, to Texas-El Paso Saturday night in the Holiday Inn Classic.

The loss dropped Southeast to 1-4 overall and 0-2 in the tournament. On Friday, Southeast fell 69-52 to tournament-host Nevada.

On Saturday, UTEP held a slim 26-25 lead at halftime, but widened the gap in the second half.

Southeast missed all eight of its 3-point shots in the second half and finished 2 of 18 from behind the arc on the night. The Otahkians shot just 23.8 percent from the field to the Miners' 39.3 percent.

Sarah Frazier paced Southeast's scoring with 12 points. She also pulled down nine rebounds. Jamie Koester was the only other Otahkian to reach double figures, scoring 10 points while pulling down a team-high 10 rebounds.

Kanequa Chancellor enjoyed a big night for UTEP, scoring a game-high 18 points and pulling down a game-high 20 rebounds.

UTEP held a 49-34 rebounding edge.

Southeast returns to action Wednesday with a 7 p.m. game at Tulsa.
