IOWA CITY, Iowa -- Southeast Missouri State University's gymnasts picked up their first meet victory of the season Sunday as they captured a four-team event hosted by Iowa.

The Otahkians finished with 191.65 points. Iowa was second with 189.75. Then came Winona State (185.30) and Wisconsin-LaCrosse (184.575).

Erin Chenier captured the all-around title with a score of 38.929. Malia Roberts was second (38.475).

Chenier was first on beam (9.825) and vault (9.8) and she tied for second with teammate Kristin Frohlich on bars (9.725).

Kate Farrington was second on floor (9.8) and vault (9.7).

Roberts was third on vault (9.65) and fourth on bars (9.5).

"This is exactly the type of meet that we wanted to have," said Southeast coach Bill Hopkins. "We had a good road score."

Southeast will host the annual Cap'n Crunch Invitational Saturday night at the Show Me Center.
