BRIEFLY: SEMO'S DERWORT NAMED OVC PLAYER OF WEEK

Southeast Missouri State University sophomore outside hitter Jackie Derwort has been named the Ohio Valley Conference Offensive Player of the Week.

Derwort had 52 kills, 17 assists and 47 digs in three matches last week. She had 24 kills and 21 digs against Tennessee Tech on Saturday, then registered her first triple-double with 11 kills, 11 assists and 12 digs against Middle Tennessee on Sunday.

Derwort leads the Otahkians with 407 kills and 321 digs.

The Otahkians return to action Friday night at Austin Peay.
