MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- Cape Junior Legion baseball team swept a pair of games from Bartlett, Tenn., allowing just one run in the two games.

Cape Junior Legion, 9-2, won the first game 6-0 behind the two-hit pitching of Jeff Lappe and then won the nightcap 10-1.

Lappe struck out eight and walked none and had two of his team's nine hits. He also drove home a run.

Cape Junior Legion scored two runs in the first and third innings and added single runs int he sixth and seventh innings.

Lanson DeBrock recorded the win in the second game, allowing five hits in five innings.

Ben Gosche went 2 for 3 with two RBI to lead Cape's eight-hit attack.

Cape scored once in the first and added six runs in the second, the big blow a two-run triple by Chris Canfield.

Cape Junior Legion returns to action Monday at Caruthersville.
