PADUCAH, Ky. -- Cape Girardeau's Senior Babe Ruth baseball team, the White Sox, continued its exceptional season by winning the Paducah Tournament held over the weekend.

The White Sox improved their record to 18-3 as they won three games in the tourney. Cape defeated Paducah 4-3, Alton 11-3 and Sikeston 14-4.

Travis Estes was the winning pitcher in the victory over Paducah. He struck out six and allowed just three hits.

Mike Renick, Ben LeGrand and Corey King all had two hits. Cory Campbell had a single with the bases loaded to drive home the winning run.

LeGrand notched the victory against Alton. He allowed six hits and fanned four.

Renick, Trent Summers and Mike Potillo all had two hits while Renick and King both drove in two runs.

King was the winning hurler against Sikeston. He fanned five and allowed four hits.

Estes, King and Rueben Myers all had two hits.

The White Sox will be back in action tonight when Portageville comes to Capaha Field for a 6 o'clock doubleheader.
