PLANE CRASHES NEAR VIENNA
VIENNA, Ill. -- An airplane crashed Wednesday night in northern Johnson County injuring the pilot and a passenger. Illinois State Police reported the crash occurred at 6:15 p.m., and were still investigating the accident late Wednesday.. The four-seat plane, a Mooney M20J, crashed about two miles north of Vienna. The four-seat plane, a Mooney M20J, crashed about two miles north of Vienna. The pilot and passenger, who were not identified, were flown to St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
Both men were admitted to the hospital in serious condition.
