The National Association of Manufacturers has honored six members of Missouri's congressional and Senate delegation.

U.S. Reps. Jo Ann Emerson, Roy Blunt, Jim Talent and Kenny Hulshof, and Sens. John Ashcroft and Christopher "Kit" Bond were among 213 federal legislators who received the first-ever Manufacturing Legislative Excellence Award.

The awards were presented last month in Washington, D.C.

"Missouri's delegation in Washington is dedicated to advancing the employer point of view on legislation covering a wide range of fronts designed to create new and better jobs for Missouri business and industry as well as individual Missourians," said Associated Industries of Missouri President Chris Long.
