TORCH RUN SHIRTS BEING SOLD AT MALL

Members of the Cape Girardeau Police Department and Missouri State Highway Patrol will be selling Torch Run T-shirts at West Park Mall today. Proceeds will benefit the Special Olympics program in Missouri.

Shirts will be available at West Park Mall Center Court from 10 a.m. to 9:30 p.m., said Lt. D.B. Hart of the highway patrol.

The 1999 Missouri Special Olympics Law Enforcement Torch Run will be held May 20 through 23, starting at Fort Leonard Wood.

Prior to the Torch Run throughout Southeast Missouri, area law enforcement personnel will conduct fund-raising efforts to raise funds for Special Olympics.
