Scott County voters cast ballots for unopposed candidates in many election races Tuesday.

In Oran, voters elected Ed Evans as councilman in Ward 1; Gil Roslen to the Ward 2 seat; and Jimmy Westrich in Ward 3. No candidates filed for the Ward 4 seat.

Chaffee Mayor William Cannon ran unopposed. Voters elected Ronald Davis to the Ward 1 council seat, and Wade Sanders defeated Janice Martin 116-53 in the Ward 2 race. John Hampton and Tom Cunningham were elected to wards 3 and 4, respectively.

Phyllis J. Hepler was elected as Miner city collector. Terry Cole earned 109 votes to defeat Deloris Smith, who earned 95 votes, in the Ward 1 alderman race. Donald Holman defeated Roberta Wills 67-54 in Ward 2.

Benton Mayor Joe Stuckey and city collector Beverly Riley were re-elected. Both ran unopposed. Howard Bollinger and David Mack were elected as alderman.

Vanduser Village trustees winning terms are Harold Graviett, Denise Foster Arthur, and Marty Godwin.

The Scott County Rural Fire District elected Jimmy Withrow II.
