Voters in Cape Girardeau County Water District 2 in the Burfordville and Gravel Hill areas approved a $1.5 million bond issue to drill a well, build a storage tower and lay water mains.

The vote was 506 to 251 in favor of the measure, which will allow the district to set water rates and charges to pay for the improvements. The bonds would be retired within 35 years.

In Gordonville, Randy Eggimann and Tim Goodman were elected to the village board of trustees. Eggimann had 74 votes and Goodman had 70 votes. Defeated in the election were Bill Dalton with 64 votes and Bradley J. Skelton with 50 votes.

In Delta, Gary Anderson was elected Ward 2 alderman.

In Whitewater, Jerome Foster and Sharon Hale were elected to the board of trustees.

In Allenville, W.D. Welker, Lonnie Lesch and Mike Rutherford were elected to the board of trustees.

No candidates filed for a six-year term on the Gordonville Fire Protection District Board of Directors.

No candidates filed for two seats on the Oak Ridge Board of Trustees.

No candidates filed for three seats on the Dutchtown Board of Trustees.
