JACKSON -- Incumbents Vicky McDowell, Dr. T. Wayne Lewis and Darrell Hanschen were re-elected to the Jackson school board Tuesday.
McDowell, a community health nurse who has been on the board six years, totaled 3,589 votes. Lewis, a dentist first elected in 1987, had 3,569 votes. Hanschen, who is employed by Medicap Pharmacy and lives in Fruitland, had 3,023 votes. He has served on the board since 1990.
Three seats were up for election. Each will serve a three-year term.
Following the winners in order were Ameren UE lineman Mark Baker with 2,345 votes, registered nurse Susan Farrow with 2,015 votes and retiree Jewell Beauchamp with 930 votes.
