Beginning today, regional news is displayed on the front pages of Section A, while national and world news is moved from those pages to the back pages of the section. The changes are in keeping with the newspaper's emphasis on local news.

-- On Page 3A are reports about Southeast Missouri Regional Port Authority's new office, a former Poplar Bluff man being sentenced to death for two killings, and Kennett police arresting three in an alleged dispute over a drug deal.

-- On Page 5A are reports on an Arkansas man being sought in connection with an alleged child abuse and a Kennett city councilman resigning.

-- On Page 6A are reports about a Stoddard County juvenile judge urging a juvenile center be built before a new judicial center in Stoddard County and a man being killed in an accident on Interstate 55 in Scott County.
