Cape Friends of Old Time Music and Dance will host an old-fashioned barn dance from 7:39-10 p.m. on June 25.

The dance will be held in the Parker Building dance studio at Southeast Missouri State University.

Joe Surdyk of Carbondale, Ill., will call the dance. Gary Watson of Fredericktown and his daughter, Jenny Watson of Cape Girardeau, will play traditional dance tunes.

Each dance will be taught. No previous experience is necessary. The dance is open to all ages. A $3 donation is requested.

The Parker Building is behind the tennis courts along Henderson Street. Parking is available in the Robert A. Dempster hall parking lot. The dance studio is on the second floor of Parker Hall.
