Elizabeth H. Chastain has become a partner in the Lichtenegger, Weiss & Fetterhoff, L.L.C. law firm at Jackson.

The firm will now be known as Lichtenegger, Weiss, Fetterhoff & Chastain, L.L.C. Members of the firm are John P. Lichtenegger, Scott Fetterhoff and Chris N. Weiss.

Chastain, a cum laude graduate of Southern Illinois University School of Law at Carbondale, has served as an associate of the firm the past three years. She is also a graduate of Southeast Missouri State University, with undergraduate degrees in marketing management and business management.

Chastain is a member of the Missouri Bar Association, the Illinois Bar Association, and is licensed to practice in all Missouri and Illinois state courts as well as the U.S. District Courts of the Eastern District of Missouri and Southern District of Illinois.

She is a member of the Cape County Bar Association, Young Lawyers Association, Outstanding Young Women of America, Family Law Committee, Business Law Committee and Inn of Court. In 1977, she was awarded the distinction, "Outstanding Young Woman of America."

Prior to practicing law, she was marketing director and assistant property manager at West Park Mall in Cape Girardeau. She later served as assistant property manager of the St. Clair Mall in Fairview Heights, Ill.

Chastain's areas of emphasis are family law, bankruptcy, social security, worker's compensation and personal injury.

Cape Girardeau Otolaryngologist Dr. Curtis Coonce recently became a fellow in the American College of Surgeons.

Coonce is an ear, nose and throat doctor associated with SEMO Otolaryngology, 18 Doctors' Park in Cape Girardeau. He has been practicing in Cape Girardeau since July 1995.

The applicant's evaluations for admission are based on the applicant's surgical judgment, experience, professional competence, ethical conduct, professional standing and attitude toward the basic tenets of the college.

Coonce graduated magna cum laude from the University of Missouri -Columbia School of Medicine in 1987, completed his internship in surgery in 1988, and his residency in head and neck surgery in 1992 at Stanford University Medical Center.

He served three years in the Air Force as chief of otolaryngology at Ehrling Berquist Hospital, Offutt Air Force Base in Nebraska. He is an associate professor of surgery at the University of Nebraska Medical Center and Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine. He is board certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology.

Scott Brown, Tricia Clements, Danea Johnson, Andrea Pecaut and Anita Buckner have joined Callinger's Beauty Salon, 1020 N. Kingshighway in Cape Girardeau.

Brown has more than 11 years experience in hairstyling and specializes in color, cuts and perms.

Clements has more than five years experience and specializes in nails, cuts and color.

Johnson has three years experience and specializes in men's cuts and women's hair.

Pecaut, with eight years experience, specializes in nails, cuts and color.

Buckner has five years experience and specializes in women's cuts and color.

Richard F. Wieser of Cape Girardeau has joined Ford and Sons Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.

Wieser, a graduate of Fort Scott, Kan., Community College and Southeast Missouri State University, with a bachelor's degree in interdisciplinary studies with an emphasis in social work, has worked in the Cape Girardeau area since graduation here in 1976.

He served as sales representative and assistant plant manager with Fruitland Dressed Meats more than 18 years. Prior to that he worked at Central Foods Inc. at Cape Girardeau, as food service representative over a seven-county area.

Debbie Gross, a representative of Capital Insurance & Associates, 326 S. Broadview, recently attended a two-day, Hartford InterCom, training workshop, at Brea, Calif.

Dr. Bruce White has joined Kessinger Specific Chiropractic Clinic, 1424 Kurre Lane in Cape Girardeau.

White, a native of Morgantown, Ky., is a graduate of Logan College of Chiropractic in Chesterfield, Mo.

He also attended college at Bowling Green, Ky. He has a bachelor's degree in human biology and a doctor of chiropractic. He received postgraduate educaiton from Kale Certification Residency Program at Spartanburg, S.C.

Marco Otten of Eijsden, The Netherlands, has completed the H&R Block income tax course and is serving an international business internship at the Jackson H&R Block office, owned by Odie C. Lingle.

Otten will work as a tax preparer through the tax season.

He is a graduate of the Limburg Business School in The Netherlands, with a bachelor's degree in business administration. He also participated in a student exchange program at Southeast Missouri State University.

Tim Caldwell of Tamms, Ill., and the Country Companies Insurance Group, has earned a position on the company's All American Team.

All-American status is achieved through outstanding sales and service during the year in life and health insurance and is the highest honor a Country Companies agency manager can receive.

Caldwell, who started with the company in 1977, has an office on Front Street in Tamms and is among a group of 111 top insurance producers recognized by the Country Companies for sales and service. The Country Companies, headquartered at Bloomington, Ill., has more than 1,100 agents and agency managers in 10 states.

Caldwell started with the Country Companies in January 1977.

Teresa Graham of Gordonville has returned to Marilyn's Design Studio, at 125 N. Main in Cape Girardeau.

Graham has more than 20 years experience as a hairstylist. She previously worked at Marilyn's,

Graham is a graduate of a St. Louis beauty school.

Cheral Benthal of Cape Girardeau, has joined Wanda's Coiffures at 1405 Thomas Drive in Cape Girardeau.

Benthal has more than seven years experience as a stylist. She is a graduate of Stage One The Beauty School in Cape Girardeau.

Sandy Quigley of Gulliver's Travel Agency, 111 N. Missouri St., Jackson, recently attended three educational trips.

In November, she toured Cancun, including excursions to X-Caret and Aqua World. In December she visited California, touring Universal Studios, Hollywood and Disneyland. Her most recent trip was to the Dominican Republic, where she visited a number of hotels and resorts in Punta Cana and Puerta Plata.

Quigley has more than five years in the travel industry, with 2 1/2 years with Gulliver's Travel.
