Correctional officer Duffy Sanders and educator Lisa Jeffers have been named "Employees of the Year" at Tamms (Ill.) Correctional Center.

Sanders of Anna, Ill., joined the Illinois Department of Corrections in March 1991. He is also involved in many areas of youth activity in the Anna Community, He is director of the Anna Junior Wildcat Summer Football League.

Jeffers of Tamms is the senior member of the Tamms Correctional Center Education Team. She joined the Department of Corrections as in education at Harrisburg, Ill., in 1988, and started work at the Tamms Minimum Security Unit in July 1995.

Jeffers has helped the education facility administrator in scheduling educational programs for both the Tamms Super Max and the Minimum Security Until.
