This week the Southeast Missourian asked, "What do you think of the allegations against President Clinton?"

Christine Fell, Cape Girardeau

"I think they're true. Because he's trying to cover it up so much that it's obviously upsetting him."

Ken Suhre, Jackson

"It's hard to have an opinion. I don't know if he did it or not....(I need) more information to form an opinion."

Debbie Lovelady, Sikeston

"I think it's nobody's business because what's in the past is in the past. It doesn't change what he does in office."

Kim Barnard, Jackson

"I kind of think they should leave him alone, but I mean, he is in public office; he does have a certain standard that he has to live up to. People do look to him to do the right thing and obvious that's not the right thing to do. If he did have an affair, he had it. It's not like there is something we can do about it."

Wendell Miller, Cape Girardeau

"I have mixed emotions about it. The truth will come out. I believe there are a lot of false accusations. We don't know the facts. Sometime the facts are there such as O.J. (Simpson) you know and a person is wrong. It just seems like a lot of people are jumping on the bandwagon lately because so much of that thing is going on. My personal opinion is that there's not enough information yet to make a real good evaluation of it. I'm not really happy about it. I think that's my main concern."
