Two people were injured in separate single-vehicle accidents Monday afternoon.

In Ste. Genevieve County, Gregory Wolk, 28, of Ste. Genevieve suffered moderate injuries when he swerved to hit a deer at Route A and Limekiln Road.

Wolk's vehicle ran off the roadway and came to rest on the west side of Route A. The accident occurred at 4:35 p.m.

In Perry County, Barbara Kapp, 31, of Perryville suffered minor injuries when she lost control of her vehicle on northbound Interstate 55 and traveled off the east side of the roadway, striking a rock bluff.

The accident happened at 4:50 p.m. on I-55 at the 136 mile marker.
