JACKSON -- Jackson service clubs, churches, schools and other groups are invited to publicize their upcoming events on Public Access Channel 5.

Jackson public service announcements will begin appearing as soon as they are received, according to the Cape Girardeau Public Awareness Office. Jackson's access to the station is the result of an agreement recently worked out between the city and the City of Cape Girardeau, which operates the channel.

Twenty percent of the bulletin board messages will be available to Jackson in the three-year contract. The PSA must be received at least five works days before the display date.

An information packet and application forms are available at the Jackson City Hall or the Jackson Chamber of Commerce.
