Area law enforcement officers are selling T-shirts to raise money for the Missouri Special Olympics.

The shirts also promote the upcoming Special Olympics Torch Run. Officers carry a torch throughout the state promoting the Special Olympics.

On May 12, the torch will be carried from Poplar Bluff to Cape Girardeau. On May 13, it will be carried from Kennett to Caruthersville.

The Special Olympics takes place May 12 through 14 at Fort Leonard Wood.

Shirts cost $10 for short sleeves and $15 for long sleeves. Contact law enforcement officers in these departments for information: police departments in Cape Girardeau, Jackson, Sikeston Farmington, Dexter, Salem, Desloge, Ironton, Poplar Bluff, Kennett and Malden; sheriff's departments in Cape Girardeau, Stoddard, Pemiscot, and Dent counties; Missouri Highway Patrol Troop E; and Farmington Potosi Correctional Center.
