Keisker, who will turn 99 July 17, had a 10-foot Colorado Blue Spruce named in his honor on the Concordia Seminary campus in St. Louis.

The Rev. Leonard R. Kutscher bestowed the honor on Keisker. He was one of Keisker's students in 1945.

Keisker is a pastor in the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod. He graduated from Concordia Seminary in 1923, and was attending his class reunion when he was surprised by the honoring. He lives at The Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.
