MOREHOUSE -- A 71-year-old Sikeston man was killed Tuesday when the vehicle he was riding in was involved in a collision on U.S. 60 at Morehouse.

Ernest Finney was a passenger in a westbound vehicle driven by Jimmy Edsall, 31, of St. Louis. Edsall was taken to Missouri Delta Medical Center with serious injuries.

The driver of the other vehicle was Linda Hicks, 36, of Qulin. She had minor injuries.

Her passengers, Terrah Stratton, 62, and Taylor Stratton, 1, both of Qulin, were taken to Missouri Delta Medical Center with minor injuries.

A spokeswoman for the Missouri State Highway Patrol said the vehicles were traveling westbound at 12:25 p.m. when Edsall attempted to pass Hicks, swerved in front of Hicks' vehicle and was struck.
