NATIONSBANK ANNOUNCES NEW PRESIDENT OF BANK

NationsBank officials in Cape Girardeau have announced that Steve Taylor is the new community bank president for Cape Girardeau and Jackson.

Taylor is also regional commercial market manager of Southeast Missouri and Illinois.

As community bank president, Taylor is responsible for community relations and the bank's consistent delivery of products and services to customers in the Cape Girardeau and Jackson markets.

"NationsBank is committed to every market that we serve," said W. Curtis Graff, president of NationsBank Missouri-Illinois Community Banks. "Steve knows and understands the needs of the community and will play a key leadership role in the bank's involvement and support of the area."

A native of Cape Girardeau, Taylor began his career with NationsBank in January. Previously, he worked 16 years with Bank One in Dallas. He is a 1977 graduate of Cape Girardeau Central High School and earned his bachelor's degree in business administration from Southeast Missouri State University.

Taylor takes over for David D. Hodge, who is moving to Wichita, Kan.

In addition, Jeanne P. Goodman, senior vice president at NationsBank, has been named group leader of the newly established Professional and Executive Banking Group in the Southeast Missouri region.

Goodman is introducing NationsBank Professional and Executive Banking to the Southeast Missouri market. Professional and Executive Banking provides a single point of access to the broad array of personalized banking and investment services for customers such as physicians, attorneys, certified public accountants and small business owners.

Goodman has been employed with the bank for 11 years and has held several positions at the bank, including regional consumer sales manager, marketing director and business development director.

She earned a bachelor's degree in journalism and political science from Southern Illinois University-Carbondale. She also participated in the business management program at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, N.C.
