BABY GIRLS, BOYS CONTESTS Winners have been named in the SEMO District Fair's Baby Girl and Baby Boy contests. The contest for girls was held Tuesday and the boy's contest was Wednesday. BABY GIRLS, BOYS CONTESTS

Winners have been named in the SEMO District Fair's Baby Girl and Baby Boy contests.

The contest for girls was held Tuesday and the boy's contest was Wednesday.

Girls

3 to 6 months -- First place, Natalie Dickerson, daughter of Dale and Robyn Dickerson of Jackson; second place, Kaitlyn Stone, daughter of Thomas and Victoria Stone of Cape Girardeau; third place, McKenzie Belt, daughter of Robert and Lisa Belt of Oran.

6 to 9 months -- First place, Angela Mayo, daughter of Josh and Sandra Mayo of Cape Girardeau; second place, Kasie Friedrich, daughter of Shawn and Becky Friedrich of Jackson; third place, Taylor Renae Smith, daughter of Rick and Mary Smith of McClure, Ill.

9 to 12 months -- First place, Chloe Dambaugh, daughter of Tim and Jennie Dambach of Lilbourn; second place, Reagan Corbett, daughter of Greg and Tina Corbett of Portageville; third place, Hanna Evans, daughter of Lisa Evans of Cape Girardeau.

12 to 15 months -- First place, Olivia Brown, daughter of Jim and Kelley Brown of Jackson; second place, Lindsey Cauble, daughter of Curt and Valerie Cauble of Cape Girardeau; third place, Sidney Davenport, daughter of Kimberly Davenport of Marble Hill.

15 to 18 months -- First place, Abbigail Sinn, daughter of Shannon and Michelle Sinn of Cape Girardeau; second place, Julian Soto, daughter of Luis and Troy Soto of Whitewater; third place, Krystin Ruch, daughter of Rhonda Chris Ruch of Cape Girardeau.

Boys

3 to 6 months -- First place, Aron Dayton Hampton, son of Lanny and Holly Hampton of Delta; second place, Kaleb Lester Goza, son of Vanessa Goza and David Lester of Cape Girardeau; third place, Auston William Huls, son of Justin and Dawn Huls of Cape Girardeau.

6 to 9 months -- First place, Grant Powderly, son of Tim and Lori Powderly of Cape Girardeau; second place, Jeremy Issac Elliot, son of Brad and Amy Elliott of Cape Girardeau; third place, Teryn Wright Hunt, son of Tina Wright of Benton.

9 to 12 months -- First place, B.J. Bradley, son of Billy and Nikki Bradley of Scott City; second place, Triston Bailey Thele, son of Brad and Jennifer Thele of Jackson; Gavin Brown, son of Michael and Liz Brown of Cape Girardeau.

12 to 15 months -- First place, Beau Brady, son of Shannon and Donny Brady of Jackson; second place, Harley K. Romack, son of Billy and Amy Romack of Cape Girardeau; third place, Nicholas R. Mayfield, son of Kenny and Donna Mayfield of Sedgewickville.

15 to 18 months -- First place, Jackson Barrett, son of Nick and Shannon Barrett of Cape Girardeau; second place, Gavin Eftink, son of Brad and Marla Eftink of Sikeston; third place, Garrett Lewis VanGennip, son of Greg and Vonda VanGennip of Advance.

BEST CHILDREN'S SMILES

The best smiles were rewarded at the fair with prizes from the SEMO District Dental Society and The Ronald McDonald House.

Winners 6 and under -- First place, Lacy Burnett, daughter of Clarence and Barbara Burnett of Jackson; second place, Corey Moore, son of Karen Clark; third place Adam Coomer, son of Dai and Betty Coomer.

Winners 7 and older -- First place, Amy Wichern, daughter of Wanda and Dennis Wichern of Jackson; second place, Clayton Illers, son of Greg and Linda Illers of Cape Girardeau; third place, Nathaniel Kinsey, son of Wes and Ann Kinsey of Cape Girardeau.

Winners received cash prizes. First-place winners also received a McDonald's gift certificate for a party with 10 friends.

In all, 55 participants entered, and each was given a free toothbrush.

TRUCK PULL CONTEST

Winners of the fair truck pull have been announced.

Pro street 4WD -- First place, Glenn Bollinger of Benton; second place, Toby Cook of Millersville; third place, Jerry Gross of Sedalia, Ky.

Modified 4WD -- First place, Randall Miller of Farmington; second place, Kevin Bollinger of Benton; third place, Terry Miller of Essex.

Stock 2WD -- First place, Keith Donnell of Doniphan; second place, Keith Miller of Essex; third place, Ray McGuire of Dexter.

Modified 2WD -- First place, Oz Hay of Sikeston; second place, Kenneth Williams of Briar; third place, Don Johnson of Doniphan.

Pure Stock 4WD -- First place, Dain Bess of Dexter; second place, Gary Payne of McGee; third place, George Payne of McGee.

POULTRY AND RABBIT SHOWS

Winners have been named in the fair poultry and rabbit shows.

Champion pigeon is a flying roller owned by Tyler Brimley. Reserve champion is a flying roller owned by Justin Bromley.

Champion guinea pig is owned by Andrea Kenninger.

Champion rabbit is a Netherland dwarf owned by Andrea Kenninger. Reserve champion is a Dutch owned by Jonathan Sinn.

Best duck is a white call owned by Jonathan Sinn.

Best goose is a Chinese owned by George Touchette.

Best turkey is a royal palm owned by Cheryl Walgren.

Best large fowl is a black cochin hen owned by Phyllis Sinn.

Best bantam is a black old English hen owned by Nena Detring. The bird was the overall grand champion.

Reserve champion overall is a barred cochin owned by Phyllis Sinn.

In the 4-H competition, the grand champion rabbit is a mini lop owned by Marcus Birk. The reserve champion is the market pen rabbit owned by Margaret Seabaugh.

Grand and reserve champion guinea pigs are owned by Amanda Birk.

Grand champion chicken is a Rhode Island red and reserve champion is a Auustralorp, both owned by Charles Meier.
