Coping with crisis, loss and grief aren't easy. Centenary United Methodist Church, 300 N. Ellis, wants to offer help through a new evening course.
"Growing Through Crisis" is an 11-session course designed to help people deal with grief, loss and cope through crisis times. It is not limited to members of the church; everyone is invited to attend.
The class will begin with an orientation session at 7 p.m. Oct. 20 at the church parlor. Enrollment ends Nov. 3. The course is based on video material from Dr. Howard Clinebell.
There is a fee for enrollment, and participants should buy the book "Life After Loss." The Rev. Clayton L. Smith, senior pastor at Centenary; Karen Mustoe, parish nurse; and Lisa Huey, Stephen's minister, will direct the program.
For information or to enroll, call the church office at 334-2869.
