Stride, stroll and step for Alzheimer's disease in the 1998 Memory Walk at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 26, at Capaha Park to benefit the Alzheimer's Association.

Memory Walk is the only national fund raiser for Alzheimer's Disease. Nearly 200 communities and 120,000 walkers across the country will participate in this year's event. Local sponsors include KFVS-TV, KGMO radio, Heartland Care and Rehab, The Lutheran Home, Orthopaedic Associates, James E. Palen, M.D., Procter & Gamble, RC Cola, Saint Frances Hospital, Southeast Hospital and Southeast Missouri State University Institute of Gerontology.

The Alzheimer's Association provides leadership to eliminate Alzheimer's disease through the advancement of research while enhancing care and support services for individuals and their families. Alzheimer's Association programs and services are provided through the generous support of association members and corporate donors.
