More than 100 skydivers are expected to fall from the skies Oct. 2 and 3 at the Cape Girardeau Regional Airport's Sky-toberfest Skydiving Boogie.

The public is welcome to come and watch the skydiving activities, said airport manager Bruce Loy, and an area off the airport ramp will be roped off for spectators. Admission is free.

Novice skydivers can also make reservations for tandem jumps throughout the weekend. Dwight Gates, a local skydiving instructor, will make the jump with interested customers. Gates and the novice will remain attached throughout the jump from 14,000 feet, and Gates will control the parachute.
