Over 16 million Americans have diabetes. Half of those do not know it yet. How can you tell if you're at risk?

A free community health education event will take place Thursday, Nov. 12, from 6:15 p.m. to 7:45 p.m. at St. Francis Medical Center. Nancy Snyderman, M.D., medical correspondent for ABC News, will host a teleconference broadcast to educate the community about new developments in the diagnosis and treatment of diabetes.

Diabetic patients, their families and members of the community interested in this topic are invited to attend. The event is co-sponsored by the American Diabetes Association.
