MINER -- A 4-year-old Sikeston boy died Saturday from injuries in an accident on an four-wheel all-terrain vehicle a mile east of Miner.

Curtis Street, 4, of Sikeston was injured Friday evening when the four-wheeler on which he was riding with his father overturned. He died at St. Louis Children's Hospital Saturday afternoon.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that Street and his father, Michael Street, 39, of Sikeston were riding on the ATV on County Road 541, a mile east of Miner. As they attempted to make a left turn, the vehicle overturned.

Curtis Street was taken to Missouri Delta Hospital in Sikeston and transferred to Children's Hospital in St. Louis where he died shortly before 4 p.m. Saturday. He was the 81st fatality in Troop E this year.

Michael Street was not injured in the accident.
