Music of the decade will help celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Southeast Showcase Nov. 12 at the Show Me Center.

For the past decade, the Southeast Missouri Hospital Foundation has hosted the event. Guest sample foods and beverages from more than 40 area restaurants and vendors.

This year's event, which begins at 6 p.m., features live music and entertainment including hits from the past 10 years. Entertainment for Showcase '98 will be provided by The Atlantic Express, an 11-piece band from Kansas City known for its recreation of sounds from the 1960s through today.

The Cape Girardeau Academy of Dance arts will perform a high-stepping, high-precision dance routine.

Since the Southeast Showcase began in 1988, more than $135,000 has been raised in support of patient care developments at Southeast Missouri Hospital, said J. Charles Stotz, foundation director.

Tickets are $35 each and available by calling the hospital at (573) 651-5510. Blocks of 25 or more tickets are available for $30 each.

Restaurants and speciality food shops participating in the Showcase are Cedar Street/Drury Lodge, Country Mart in Jackson, Domino's Pizza, Jade Chinese Restaurant, Joey's Restaurant, Nicky's Whistle Stop Cafe, My Daddy's Cheesecake, Outback Steakhouse, Pagliai's Pizza and Pasta, Pilot House, Pop's Pizza, Port Cape Girardeau, Red Lobster, Rhodes 101 Convenience Stores, Sam's Club, Schaefers IGA Plus, Schnucks Deli and Bakery, Sodexho Marriott at Southeast Missouri Hospital and at Southeast Missouri State University, Subway, Taco John's, TCBY, The Pasta House Company, and Tric's Family Restaurant.
